Cancellations & refunds — no small print
Your 25% deposit secures your date and is non-refundable, as it is everywhere in events. Beyond that, cancellation charges rise on a sliding scale the closer you get — because the vendor turned other work away and can no longer re-book the date. Here's exactly what you keep at each stage:

A single £25 admin fee applies to any refund we process. Amounts you get back are always capped at what you've actually paid so far.
If the vendor cancels on you
You're entitled to a full refund of everything you've paid. For Protected Booking vendors we hold the funds, so we refund you directly; otherwise we recover it on your behalf.
Vendors are protected too
What a cancelling customer forfeits compensates the vendor for the date they held and the work they turned away — so both sides are treated fairly.
Planning a wedding? We recommend arranging your own wedding insurance for peace of mind — it protects you against the unexpected in ways no booking platform can. Venunique is not an insurer.
